Thorin and Gandalf each take an Elven-made blade, Orcrist and Glamdring, and Gandalf also finds an Elven dagger, which he gives to Bilbo. The group discovers the Trolls’ cave and discovers treasure and Elven blades. Bilbo prevents the Trolls from eating them until dawn, and Gandalf exposes the Trolls to sunlight, causing them to turn to stone.
